You can print your gorgeous pieces in either two finish options: Vibrant or Pure Wood.
Both of these can be printed with or without a border - check out the slider below to see the differences!
Vibrant
Pure Wood
Vibrant.
Vibrant finish is printed with a white base to achieve the natural colours of your image, while retaining the unmistakable look and feel of real wood. This is best when you want your image to be like you see it on your screen/phone & is suitable for all photos. Vibrant with Border is our most popular finish as it gives a vibrant print and features raw wood in the border, like a picture frame.

All photos! If you’re unsure of finishes, we recommend vibrant.

Dark photos
Not recommended for:
When you want as much wood showing through as possible
When you want the wood to act like a photo filter
Pure Wood.
Pure Wood adds a natural rustic wood effect to your photos. It’s like natural photo filter!
Your photo is printed directly into the wood with no white ink - This way the inks mix with the wood, creating a totally unique effect. Dark colours remain dark and lighter areas reveal natural woodgrain patterns. Colours become softer and warmer compared to our Vibrant finish. Pure Wood finish is ideal for when you want a prominent wood look & something totally unique and different that showcases the beauty of natural wood.
Pure wood is especially popular on light images with light areas that allow the wood grain to show through.
Not recommended for:
Dark photos
Where you want the prints to match the original colours
Photos where colour accuracy is important - the colour of the timber will change your colours vs what you see on screen.
Recommended for:
When you want as much wood showing through as possible.
You want the wood to act like a photo filter.
Light photos where you want prominent wood grain
Borders.
Photoblocks are available with Border or No Border (where ink runs right to the edge)
Borders are a great way to feature the birch wood and to frame your image. Borders vary in size between products - and are designed to best suit the size of print you've chosen, so they appear balanced and compliment your chosen size.
We're big fans of borders (it’s become our most popular finish for a reason!) but our prints also look fantastic either way so you can't go wrong!

Vibrant with border is out most popular finish, as it gives you the best of both worlds, featuring vibrant colours & still features raw wood in the border. If you are unsure about finishes, vibrant or vibrant with border is the way to go, as pure wood is a very particular look! We will always send you a digital preview before printing and we will holler out if we think your image is best suited to a specific finish.
